Artist Statement

Please find the instructions for your first blog post, The Artist Statement, here. You can read some sample artist statements here, here, and here. But there is no right format. Make it your own. Your goal as a visual artist is, as Robert Bresson has famously said, to "make visible what, without you, might perhaps never have been seen." Your artist statement is your guiding post to find your unique angle into the world. Draw upon the experiences uncovered in your free-writing exercises to help inform your statement.
